On September 12, 2024, Kyiv hosted the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, where leaders from various countries discussed global topics related to children’s safety and contemporary challenges. It was a special event aimed at finding solutions to protect the youngest in a world facing unprecedented challenges.
For us, the La Famiglia Catering team, it was a great honor to be part of this international event, providing culinary services for guests from around the world. We strived to ensure that every detail, from the dishes to the service, matched the high status of the event.
As part of the event, we prepared lunch for the First Ladies and Gentlemen, a reception for 500 guests, and a large coffee bar. Our menu included dishes that combined local and international flavors, creating an exceptional culinary experience.
At this year’s Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, La Famiglia Catering chefs, together with chefs from CATCH Seafood restaurant and Khutorets on the Dnipro, created a true culinary wonder, taking into account the gastronomic preferences of guests from different parts of the world.
The menu began with exquisite cold appetizers, such as freshly baked brioche with zucchini mousse and tomato with brynza cheese, complemented by Ukrainian herb pesto. The hot appetizer was spinach vareniki with braised veal cheek — a combination that highlighted Ukrainian cuisine in a modern interpretation.
The summit’s main course was tender pike-perch fillet served with green pea puree. This dish combined lightness and freshness, emphasizing seasonal ingredients. The meal concluded with an elegant dessert — apple millefeuille, which won over guests with its delicate taste and texture.
This refined selection of dishes helped create an atmosphere of harmony, allowing participants to enjoy not only diplomatic discussions but also the aesthetics of culinary creations.
